Das Board wurde zusammen mit dem Foil Drive Team designed: Zum einen das Batterie-Gewicht näher unter deinen Fuß zu bringen, was dir mehr Kontrolle bei engen Turns und bei hoher Geschwindigkeit sicherstellt. Zum anderen den Wasserwiderstand bei Start und Landung aufs Minimum zu reduzieren.

Die wichtigsten Vorteile des Zapple Foil Drive Boards

1. Reduzierter Wasserwiderstand: Die minimierte Oberfläche minimiert deutlich den Wasserwiderstand.
2. Verbesserte Gewichtsverteilung: Die Batterie näher an deinen hinteren Fuß zu positionieren verbessert die Kontrolle: Speziell in Turns durch die Reduzierung der Tendenz des Gewichts nach aussen zu wirken.
3. Wellen-Eintauch-Fähigkeit: Beim "zurück Foil Driven" zum Lineup (zurück von wo aus das Wellen-Foilen ohne Motor beginnt) kann das Board in die Welle eintauchen ohne dass die Batterie-Box dich abbremst. Das erlaubt dir gleichmäßigere und kraftsparendere Rides.

Das Zapple löst sehr effektiv eines der häufigsten Probleme: Signal Unterbrechungen durch Wasser und Carbon. Das Zapple hat eine fortgeschrittene Signal Optimierung, die Unterbrechungen eleminiert, sogar bei harten Bedingungen.

Die Board-Nase ist speziell designed: Sie funktioniert als Signal Fenster.

Die Antenne für Foil Drive ist im Board entlang der Tracks positioniert so kann das Signal einfach und sicher in das Board gelangen. Jetzt brauchst du nur noch die mitgelieferten EVA-Schaum-Streifen in die Tracks drücken, damit keine Wasser das Signal blockeren kann.

Fazit: Solange du wenigsten einen kleinen Teil deiner Board-Nase über der Wasseroberläche und die Schaum-Streifen in die Tracks gegeben hast, wirst du ein starkes Signal mit deinem Zapple haben.

Get away with riding a small board
for Wing-, Downwind-, Wave-Foiling

The Zapple is available in three sizes: 38L, 46L and 54L.

These sizes cater to most riders. Our size recommendation is based on weight:
the 38L model for riders up to 80 kg,
the 46L for up to 90 kg,
and the 54L for heavier riders or those who prefer smaller foils.

With the added power you can get away with riding a very small board. But the bigger sizes also make sense, as they make getting up in the flats easier and also will provide this extra security when doing downwinders far out at sea. The boards are essentially midlength models, with the foil placed quite far forward, this makes the extra length and volume less noticeable.

Easy battery replacement 

Ensuring the trench is fully compatible with the Foil Drive battery was an obvious choice, as it eliminates voids that cause drag and drain battery energy. To add convenience, the Foil Drive team has developed special barrel bolts, making battery replacement as straightforward as on a board without a trench. Easy and seamless.

Precision built

Our unique vacuum infusion technology we use on all our boards, allows us to make complex shapes with ease and ensure a very durable construction. We did a big test with all our board models and the Foil Drive, and we found that our 2024 midlength prone boards worked the best, by a long shot. So those were the starting points to add the recess to. 

Every aspect of this board’s design has been tested and perfected together with the Foil Drive Team, from its layup to the positioning of the foil box. 

Including a deck pad

The Zapple comes with comfortable pads with plenty of grip and a kick tail so you can feel where you are on the board.

Inserts for straps as well as colors and designs are available as a custom option.

5'0 x 18 x 1.3 - 38L  < 80 kg

5'4 x 18.5 x 1.8 - 46L < 90 kg and in combination with a wing 60kg - 90kg

5'8 x 19.5 x 1.9 - 54L > 90 kg and with more comfort for wingers 80kg - 120kg

46L and 54L makes getting up in the flat condition (lakes) easier and also will provide this extra security when doing downwinders far out on the water.
Also for Wingers using this board together with a wing the bigger sizes mean more comfort on starting and coming back to the beach.
